Present an Event at The Crystal Garden

Thank you for your interest in being a presenter at The Crystal Garden.

We work very hard to make sure our programs are of the highest quality and best fit for our store. To be considered please use the following guidelines:

1. All proposals must be submitted in writing to me in one of the following ways: email me a info@thecrystalgarden.com or submit it in writing to Margaret Ann Lembo, The Crystal Garden, Inc., 2610 North Federal Highway, Boynton Beach, FL 33435

2. In your short proposal (2-4 pages or a small attachment by email) include a description of what you would like to present (be specific about what you want to teach and what students will learn), your qualifications to do this work, any references, your name, phone #, fax #, e-mail address and home address (or a press kit and copy of your book or CD). Very specific and practical events works best for our customers. For emailed proposal attachments please name your document your name or the name of your business, NOT The Crystal Garden or TCG or CrysGard.

Include information like:

  • Where and when have you presented previously? If you have previously presented with us, please include the date(s) of presentation(s). Otherwise, please include references.
  • Include titles of books, articles, CDs DVDs you have authored and who they are distributed through. Include the title(s), publishers(s), and ISBN(s) of each. 
  • Your Bio; include qualifications, certifications, etc.
  • Please share how you would publicize an event: Website promotion. (Please provide your URL)
  • Email campaign (Size of your South Florida database)
  • Production of fliers for in-store distribution.

3. If you are chosen by the event committee I will get in touch with you and let you know. It may take 3-6 months to be considered for a spot in our schedule. And if you are chosen you will need to have a good smiling photo, a 100 word write-up for your event and a 40 word bio for yourself.

4. Please don’t expect to be contacted right after you submit your proposal. Due to the number of people I work with this is not possible. If you want to be contacted please leave an email address.

5. Evening events are from 7:30-9:30 pm and workshops do not typically begin before 11:00 am and must finish by 5:30 PM (Saturday events only.) If you are promoting a book or other materials you will go back into the Bookroom immediately after your event to sign books. Direct customers to our front desk for purchase of your merchandise before signing.

6. All presenters must be agree to the following points:

  • We only work with presenters who are willing to have a 4 minimum for their event. Most times get more than this, but there are no guarantees.
  • We collect all moneys from those who attend and split what we take in 60/40 split with the presenter.

7. Our cancellation policy: if you are chosen to be a presenter and must cancel for any reason after the newsletter goes to print you will be charged a $200 cancellation fee to cover our cost for the newsletter space, advertising costs and website promotion.

8. Your check will be provided after we receive your signed W9 and within a maximum of 2 weeks after the event.
