The Dream became a
Crystal Clear Reality

Here
we are, celebrating the 12th Anniversary of The Crystal Garden. What a joyful
moment this is for me and perhaps for many of you that have found a place and space to
safely search within for your spirituality. I am so grateful for The Crystal Garden and
for all the experiences and people it has lead me to.
The Crystal Garden is my dream that became a crystal clear
reality, although the dream was not always so crystal clear. When we first started the
store, that’s all I thought we were doing, starting a store. Yet due to the nature of
the merchandise we carry such as crystals and gemstones, incense and candles, aromatherapy
and books for self-awareness and spiritual growth, the store became much more, a Spiritual
Center. This evolved due to the classes and workshops taught here by Spiritual Teachers
and Healers from around the world. Obviously or maybe not so obviously to all of you, this
did not happen overnight.
During the late 80s, after 12 years of a mortgage-banking career, I was
guided to do something drastically different. Having a unique store had always been a
dream of mine and with the help of friends and family it became a reality. Although I am
blessed with a positive can do attitude as well as owning my own set of rose colored
glasses, it was still very scary! But, ya know, you just have to do what you just have to
do. I felt it in my heart and my bones that this was something very important for others
and me. So, like the title of the Susan Jeffers book, Feel the Fear but Do It Anyway,
I continued to plunge forward. Once again, I must reiterate, I was blessed to have others
in my life to help make this dream a reality.
Over time, the store and center evolved, adding one room at a time, a
little bit of new merchandise here and there, generous gifts of carpeting, painters,
plants, love, displays and much more. It continued to feel this is meant to be due to all
the constant support along the way.
As we travel the path of our life, if we look deep within ourselves,
feel and listen to the messages and our inner voice, have faith, trust and self
confidence, then anything is possible! This reminds me of Walt Disney. I haven’t been
to Disney World in many years, yet at least 3 of the exhibits really touched me. Figment,
It’s a Small World and the GE Exhibit, all demonstrate that if you can imagine
something, you can do it, friends and family are invaluable for love, laughter, and joy
and hold the vision for the future. In Norma Milanovich’s book, The Light Shall
Set You Free, she lists Walt Disney as one of the Ascended Masters. When I first
read that I was astounded, yet when I thought about it for just a moment I can say I
agree!
I would like to take this opportunity to give recognition and gratitude
to the whole staff of The Crystal Garden, for without their constant support, dedication
and love for The Crystal Garden, it just wouldn’t be what it is today. Marisol Zax is
the Manager, Webmaster of www.thecrystalgarden.com
and the Events and Newsletter Coordinator plus much more. Marguerite Barringer is the
Assistant Manager, who makes sure that we always have someone to be ‘on duty’ 7
days a week, keeps us all organized and tidy as well as a multitude of those unseen tasks
that keeps us running. China Rain, Jody Fuehrlein, Dawn Seiler, Helene Buntman are
extremely valuable assets and angels as they put their heart and hard work into this
place. There are many who have been staff in the past. You know who you are and I am
grateful that you shared your energy here. Gratitude to all the ‘Crystal
Guardians.’
In celebration of our 12th year, Marisol and I went to the
International New Age Trade Show East and returned with many new treasures and ideas. I
encourage you to stop by and shop when you need a gift for yourself or someone else.

I invite you to find the dream within your self, move through the fear,
find your faith, trust and inner knowing, ask for support and live your dream!
