Little Shop vs. Super Store

    Have you seen the movie You've Got Mail? Well, I have and I must share with all of you how much I relate to the woman who is the owner of a quaint little children's book store who had been in business 42 years . . .Then, the big super bookstore chain opens nearby and puts her out of business! WOW! Everyone loved her 'Little Shop Around the Corner'! - but that didn’t stop them from giving business to the superstore.
    A tremendous number of people verbally express their gratitude for The Crystal Garden. They tell me how grateful they are that we are still here after all these years (11 years in February), and how The Crystal Garden has provided such a haven and sacred safe place to learn and grow personally, emotionally and spiritually. Many people have found their best friends, spouses and soul mates here. The Crystal Garden is a wonderful place for many to re-connect with those they've 'known before.' I've also received a great deal of positive feedback on this newsletter. Many have told me how they make special time to sit and read through it.
    After, reviewing our financial resources and goals for the New Year, I realize that too much support still goes to those 'Super Stores'! The same customers who express their gratitude for The Crystal Garden also say, “I'll just run to the 'Super Store” to pick up a book that I may not currently be on our shelves. The Crystal Garden needs your support. Every book, crystal, chime, CD, essential oil, pack of incense, etc. makes a difference. We order books frequently and can special order books which usually come in within less than a week!
    I want to thank those of you who do shop at The Crystal Garden instead of the 'Super Store.' Your retail purchases are what provide the financial resources for the classes/workshops and the monthly newsletter. Your purchases allow us to have these on-going classes and keep the building open so we can offer a community spiritual healing center.
