Honoring the Divine Masculine
Happy Father's Day!

June is the month we honor our Fathers. I am very grateful for having a wonderful Dad. Some may say that I am Daddy’s little girl. (Ha! Even at this age!) I have learned many things from my father. It was my Dad who taught me to drive, who taught me how to run a business, who taught me that it takes all kinds of people to make the world go round, who taught me about generosity and much more. Take notice that all these things are masculine. The masculine is the doing, business making, giving and active principle. As I have shared with you before, the feminine is the receptive, passive principle. We all have both the masculine and feminine energies within us regardless of our gender. The goal is a Divine balance of the masculine and the feminine within. It is to our fathers or our masculine role models that we look to in gratitude for assisting us in developing this aspect within ourselves.

In the Medicine Wheel, the Father Sun stone, which is in the center circle of the Wheel, teaches us about the core masculine energy and about the active principle of the universe. In this position in the Wheel you can learn to accomplish things and find courage. It also teaches about discernment and the healthy ability to set limits, to say no when that is what you want to say. This is particularly helpful for those of us who consistently give too much.

If you would like to experience a Medicine Wheel ceremony, please join us on Wednesday, June 21, for the Summer Solstice Medicine Wheel and Drumming. You can also see a picture of a Medicine Wheel next to the calendar listing for this event in this newsletter.

On Sunday, June 18, let us all to remember and give gratitude for Dads, our male role models and the Divine Masculine within each and every one of us. And I say Thank You to Al Lembo for being such a wonderful father to me! Hey! Hey!

Blessings and Love to You All,

Margaret Ann Lembo
