Divine Purpose
by Margaret Lembo

Walking through our lives, with the hustle and bustle of paying the bills, feeding the kids, hurrying here and there, I ask, “Are we fulfilling our Divine Purpose for being here on the Planet?”
I have come across many who say they want to know what is their Divine Purpose. What is the Divine Plan?
Each and every one of us has something we need to do, to complete, to fulfill . . . And somehow it eludes us. We search through prayer and meditation. Or do we? How often do we sit in prayer and meditation to receive guidance? How often are we simply a receptive vehicle open to hearing, seeing or knowing?
The month of May is dedicated to the Mother, the Divine Feminine. Now is a perfect time to work on developing the feminine. Regardless of our gender, we each have a masculine and feminine aspect to our being. The masculine is the active, doing, outward principle. The feminine is the passive, receptive, inward principle. We must move into our feminine principle to be receptive to receive the answers to our questions and guidance for our next step on the path.
In the Medicine Wheel, the direction of the West is the ‘look within place.’ It is the void, the Great Mystery, the place to sit and pray in the Wheel to go within to find the answers, rather than looking outside of ourselves or to others for the answers. One doesn’t have to sit in a Medicine Wheel to connect with the energy of the West. Becoming receptive is much the same as emptying a bowl to make room for more. Much the same, if our minds are full of thoughts and our bodies are always busy doing something, then it becomes difficult to be still and listen. So HOW does one start? Okay, here comes a commercial advertisement . . .
Right here in your neighborhood is a wonderful place, The Crystal Garden, that provides meditations, rebirthing, chi gong, yoga and much more. We are offering over 50 classes this month! I have found it is easier to start meditating in a group. The energy of the group seems to build and assist in keeping the focus that is necessary to stay still and just ‘be.’

Just do it! Stop! Be Still. Empty your mind of thoughts and just be.

Blessings and Love,
