A tall, tufted, perennial, scented grass, with a straight stem, long narrow leaves and an abundant complex lacework of underground white rootlets.
Botanical Name:	Vetiveria zizanioides
Origin:	Java (Indonesia), Haiti, Reunion, India, Angola, Zaire, New Guinea, Brazil.
Fragrance:	Earthy, musty.
Therapeutic Properties:	Antiseptic, antispasmodic, depurative, rubefacient, sedative (nervous system), stimulant (circulatory, production of red corpuscles), tonic, vermifuge
Uses:	Rheumatism, circulatory tonic, menstrual problems, stress, tension, calming, nervous tension, cleansing, overindulgence.
Blends Well with:	Sandalwood, rose, violet, jasmine, patchouli, lavender, clary sage and ylang ylang.
Cautions: Non-toxic, non-irritant, non- sensitizing
