An aromatic grass native to tropical regions having a sweet lemony aroma that refreshes. Said to improve circulation and muscle tone. A gentle cleanser, generally used for normal to oily skin. Lemongrass is an antiseptic sometimes used for treating athlete's foot and acne. Insects dislike the fragrance of lemongrass, even fleas living in animal furs will leave.
Botanical Name:	Cymbopogon citratus
Origin:	India. Cultivated today in Guatemala, Brazil, China, Africa, Haiti, Madagascar, Sri Lanka and Nepal
Fragrance:	Sweet, lemon aroma, straw-like, green.
Therapeutic Properties:	Analgesic, anti-depressant, antimicrobal, anti-oxidant, antipyretic, antiseptic, astringent, bactericidal, carminative, deodorant, febrifuge, fungicidal, galactagogue, insecticide, nervine, sedative (nervous), tonic.
Uses:	It acts as a sedative on the central nervous system. It is also used as an insecticide and for flavoring food. it is also for infections, acne, cellulite, skin care and diuretic.
Blends Well with:	Basil, cedarwood, clary sage, lavender, geranium, fennel, orange, chamomile, eucalyptus, tea tree, patchouli, marjoram, elemi, sandalwood, ylang ylang and other citrus oils.
Cautions: Lemongrass oil may irritate sensitive skin when used as a compress or facial oil.
