A very aromatic, camphor-like, smelling herb boasting approximately 600 species, eucalyptus is often included in sore-muscle remedies because of it's skin warming and muscle soothing properties Well known for it's use in inhalants and chest rubs, it is also useful for wounds and insect bites.
Botanical Name:	Eucalyptus globulus Eucalyptus citriodora
Origin:	Australia. Today cultivated in China, Egypt, Algeria, Spain, Portugal, India, and South America.
Fragrance:	Camphor-like and somewhat lemony.
Therapeutic Properties:	Antiseptic, astringent, tonic, antispasmodic, deodorant, expectorant, stimulant, antibiotic, febrifuge.
Uses:	The oil, is useful for lung diseases, sore throat, gout, syphilis, gonorrhea, typhoid, varicose ulcers, worms, colds, croup, diphtheria, malaria, neuralgia, piles, and sore throat. It can be used as a vapor bath and inhaled for asthma and other respiratory ailments. Rubbed on the skin, oil of eucalyptus gives relief from the pain of arthritis, and rheumatism. The oil is commonly used in steam inhalation for colds and flu, a few whiffs is often all it takes to clear a stuffy nose and a foggy head.
Blends Well with:	Eucalyptus blends well with Thyme, Chamomile, Rosemary, Lavender, Marjoram, Pine, Cedarwood, Geranium Grapefruit and Lemon.
Cautions: Very few people have developed an allergy to eucalyptus oil. Do not use on broken or irritated skin. Not to be used on children under 12.
