Tenacious plant grows to 4 feet high with a straight stem, like the wild sage.  Its leaves are large, downy, oblong, and grow opposite on small stems.  Flower is pink, violet, lilac, or blue; blossoms are whorls that grow from terminal recemes.  Flowers from May to September.

Uses:

Hemorrhoids, varicose veins, hypertension.Nervous exhaustion, depression, fear, paranoia, panic states, aphrodisiac, lack of concentration, migraine headaches, frigidity, impotence, stress related disorders, mid-life crisis

Cautions:  Avoid while drinking alcohol and while driving due to a narcotic effect. Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitizing.  Should be avoided if you are pregnant.    Do not over-use as it can cause headaches.   Do not use if history of low blood pressure.  Avoid with history of estrogen-dependent cancer.
